Understanding GS and CP Early
Gear Score is mostly a gatekeeper. It determines which dungeons, zones, and systems you can enter. You can inflate it temporarily through gear upgrades, even if the stats aren’t optimal.
Combat Power is your actual strength. It depends on how well your stats, enhancements, accessories, and systems work together. If you ignore CP while chasing GS, you may enter content you cannot survive.
The goal is simple: push GS just high enough to unlock systems, while steadily building CP through efficient upgrades.

Phase 1: Level 1 to 45 Sprint
The early game is about speed and unlocking systems that permanently increase power.
Focus on the main story first. Yellow quests provide the fastest leveling path and naturally guide you through essential systems. Avoid wandering unless necessary.
When you hit difficulty spikes or level gates, don’t stall. Switch immediately to:
  • Regional side quests
  • Sealed dungeons
  • Strongholds for materials and upgrades
Hidden collectibles also matter early. Feathers scattered across the world and cities can be deposited into the Monolith system for permanent skill points, which are extremely valuable at low levels.
Temporary buffs should not be ignored. Food, scrolls, and combat consumables can easily carry you through early boss checks where raw stats are not enough.
The objective of this phase is simple: reach level 45 as fast as possible while collecting as many permanent upgrades as you can along the way.

Phase 2: Smart Gear Enhancement (1300–1400 GS Baseline)
Once you hit level 45, progression shifts from leveling to gear efficiency.
A common mistake is over-investing in a single item. Instead, spread upgrades evenly across all gear pieces. Raising everything step by step is significantly cheaper and more efficient than maxing one slot early.
Energy management becomes important here. Avoid wasting Odo or Olden Energy on low-value dungeons. Early instances like Fire Temple offer poor returns compared to later zones. Save resources for higher-tier farming areas such as Von Sky Island.
Disassemble or dissolve every unwanted item you get. Even low-tier gear can be converted into enhancement materials, which directly fuels your upgrades.
Another key system is gear morphing. Using materials from strongholds, you can convert:
  • Green +10 gear into blue gear
  • Blue +10 gear into higher-tier items at the Substance Morph station
This is one of the most efficient ways to push your GS without relying purely on drops.

Phase 3: 1400 to 1800 CP Mid-Game Push
This stage is where progression becomes system-heavy rather than just gear-based.
One of the biggest CP jumps comes from Arcana Cards. Once you reach around 1650 GS, start farming Transcendence Dungeons. These timed runs drop Arcana Cards, and even a basic rare set can provide a massive boost to GS and CP.
Abyss Points (AP) also become very important. You can earn them through PvP battlegrounds, daily missions, and rifts. Spend them on Abyss accessories as soon as possible. These items are cost-effective and remain relevant for a long time.
The Pantheon system adds another layer of passive scaling. Even lower-tier statues contribute to long-term CP growth, so don’t ignore any drops.
Daevanion Boards are another hidden power spike. Exploring optional dungeons marked with question marks rewards upgrade materials that significantly improve your overall scaling efficiency.
At this stage, progression is less about single upgrades and more about stacking multiple systems together.

Phase 4: Reaching 2400+ Endgame
Once you cross the 1800+ threshold, progression becomes about optimization and refinement.
Arcana Cards can be upgraded further by dismantling duplicates and transmuting them into missing higher-tier cards. This helps break through late-game power ceilings where raw gear upgrades slow down.
Manastone optimization also becomes important. Avoid over-investing too early in expensive setups. Instead, focus on affordable stats that match your class:
  • Physical damage classes benefit from attack and crit
  • Other builds should prioritize core scaling stats that directly improve output
Finally, high-end zones like Vakron’s Sky Island and conquest areas become your main farming targets. These zones provide the highest loot density and fastest CP gains once your baseline is strong enough.
Progressing efficiently in Aion 2 is less about grinding endlessly and more about knowing what to prioritize at each stage.
Fast leveling gets you access. Smart gearing keeps your GS moving. System stacking is what actually builds CP. And once everything comes together, reaching 2400+ CP becomes a structured progression rather than a slow grind.
